Job Openings - Community Resource Ambassadors

SAHELI is currently seeking to hire part-time/full-time Community Resource Ambassadors from various Asian communities to provide crisis management, advocacy, peer support, counseling, legal advocacy and community outreach to domestic violence survivors.

The ideal candidate would be an empathetic individual with excellent listening and communication skills, actively engaged within their specific community, have a strong understanding of Asian family and community dynamics, and are able to convey sensitive information in a culturally appropriate manner. They should also have an understanding of the issues of domestic violence and immigrant issues and be sensitive to the needs of the clients. Candidates are required to be bilingual in English and one of the following languages: Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic or Farsi.

Salary range is $2250-2,500 monthly for full time and $1125-1250 for part-time. Benefits include vacation, sick leave and health insurance. Click HERE for a detailed job description.
