SAHELI is seeking on-call Language Access Program Advocates to conduct community outreach and provide crisis management, advocacy, and peer support to domestic violence survivors. The Advocate is an empathetic individual with excellent communication skills, understands domestic violence issues, immigrant concerns and is perceptive to client’s needs. The Advocate is engaged with their specific community, appreciates Asian family and community dynamics and can communicate sensitive information in a culturally appropriate manner.
Candidates must be bilingual in English and at least one of the following languages: Thai, Laotian, Japanese.
This is an on-call position where hours worked is based on need. Advocates are required to attend regularly scheduled paid trainings. $14.25/hour US work permit is required. Development Manager
SAHELI is looking for an energetic and professional team member to head up development and fundraising efforts. The Development Manager will provide administrative and strategic oversight for SAHELI’s fundraising program. The job includes managing the Annual Fund Plan, donor information management, and grant prospecting while implementing fundraising activities to support our programs. The Development Manager reports directly to and works closely with both the Executive Director and the Board Fundraising Chair. Position is currently offered as a half-time position. Resumes are not considered unless candidates have at least 2 years of professional fund development experience. $16,500-18,500 annually, half-time with vacation and health benefits.
